Unless you are doing some ML training on datasets of hundreds of gigabytes, a NVMe SSD is not very necessary and a SATA SSD is pretty good enough.

Bought a cheap chinese SATA SSD of 4TB from eBay. Just one of those "noname" SSDs without any branding whatsoever, only with a model name of 870EVO.
