If you look at the HDD busy state report in the Task Manager of a Windows 10 or 11 VM under Hyper-V, you will see the general busy state of the physical HDD of the host where the VHD/VHDX is locate

I suspect that helium-filled HDDs are more durable because nothing inside oxidates. Time will show.
